**PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS RESEARCH OF THE GENETICS OF CMS IN THE SEALYHAM IS ONGOING, SO THIS TEST IS PRELIMINARY**
The study has not been completed; these results should be viewed as a preliminary guide. This saliva sample will be used by Dr. Casal's U Penn lab for a genome-wide association study for the purpose of matching a certain area on the genome with observed clinical signs. Your participation will provide Dr. Casal and team with more information to make clear why some Sealyhams with two copies of the mutated gene do not show clinical signs.
You should expect to receive results directly from the lab within 4-6 weeks unless a backlog develops at the lab. All results and health answers are strictly confidential.
